What’s free and what isn’t
Free: your personalized cover
Everything up to the cover costs nothing: picking a style, adding a photo and a name (or a ready-made character), choosing a ready story or writing your own, and seeing the cover Comicpix draws from all of that. The cover is not a template with your name pasted on. It is drawn from your photo, in your style, for your story, and it takes about a minute.
Paid: the pages
The pages are drawn only after you unlock the comic with a monthly plan. Plans renew every month and add coins to your account; creating comics uses coins, and the paywall shows how far your coins go before you pay. Coins have no cash value. You can cancel online, and cancelling stops future renewals.
Why the whole comic isn’t free
Every page of a comic is drawn by AI image models, and that costs real money for each page. Showing you the cover first lets you judge the likeness and the style before paying anything; charging for the pages keeps the product running. We would rather say that plainly than promise a free comic and surprise you at the end.

Covers and pages from real comics
The cover is what you see before paying; the pages are what a plan unlocks. Every example here is real Comicpix output.
Free to draw yourself, or drawn for you?
People searching for a free comic maker usually want one of two things. Some want to draw a comic themselves, panel by panel. For that, a drawing app or a blank comic template is the honest answer, and many cost nothing; Comicpix doesn’t let you draw or arrange panels. The comic strip maker page explains the difference.
Others want a comic drawn for them, starring someone real. That is what Comicpix does, and the cover preview tells you whether it is worth paying for. How a few sentences become a whole comic is on the AI comic generator page.
Making it as a present? Start from the personalized comic book hub, which has ideas for partners, friends and family.
