Defne grabs her satchel and runs after it.
Defne shouts: Hey! Come back!
In a quiet alley the paper lantern unfolds into a small fox made of soft light.
Defne kneels, astonished, face to face with the glowing fox.
Defne says: A fox?
The fox flattens its ears and glances back over its shoulder.
Fox says: Shh. They're coming.
Wisps of shadow drift out of the alley's corners, more lost than scary, swallowing the lantern light one by one.
