Comicpix Privacy Policy

1. Scope and information we process

This policy describes comicpix.app and the services that generate and store your comics. Your use of the mobile app may involve additional processing described in the app's policy.

We process:

Account and session information: anonymous and registered user IDs, sign-in method, authentication records and the email/profile information supplied through your selected sign-in provider.

Creative content: uploaded photos, names, story text, prompts, selected styles and characters, generated covers and pages, and saved comics.

Purchase information: plan and transaction IDs, subscription status, coin grants and usage, refunds and related accounting or fraud-prevention records. The merchant of record handles full payment details; we do not store your full card number.

Technical information: IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, requests, error and security logs, usage events, referral links and campaign parameters.

Support information: messages and attachments you choose to provide when requesting help.

2. Purposes and legal bases

We use information to authenticate you, create and deliver requested comics, save your library, associate verified accounts, fulfill purchases, maintain coin balances and respond to support requests. Where applicable, this processing is necessary to perform our contract with you.

We also use limited information to secure the service, prevent abuse, investigate failures and maintain reliable operations, based on legitimate interests where applicable. Tax, accounting and other legally required records are kept to comply with legal obligations. Optional advertising technologies use consent where required. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

3. AI processing and photos

Creating a comic sends the relevant story and prompts to a text-generation provider, currently OpenAI, and the relevant prompts and reference photos to an image-generation provider, currently fal. These providers process the material to produce the requested result. Image generation may involve the model provider behind the selected fal endpoint.

We use submitted photos as visual references for the requested comic. This is not an identity-verification or face-authentication feature. Upload only images and personal information you have permission to submit. We do not send your original photos or story text as advertising event content to Meta.

AI providers have their own privacy, retention and security practices. Our application deletion schedules do not mean that processing copies held by every provider are deleted at the same moment. For more information about processing associated with your request, contact us.

4. Service providers and disclosures

Providers include Google Firebase for authentication; Cloudflare for storage and abuse protection, including Turnstile; hosting and database infrastructure; OpenAI and fal for generation; and the merchant of record identified at checkout for web purchases. Purchase-management integrations may use RevenueCat to associate supported mobile access with verified accounts.

We disclose information as needed to operate these functions, comply with law, protect rights and security, or handle a lawful business reorganization. Providers may process information outside your country. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

5. Cookies and advertising measurement

Necessary cookies and browser storage maintain authentication, security, preferences and the creation flow. Campaign parameters help us understand how visitors reach the site.

Meta Pixel is configured for browser-based advertising measurement. If enabled by the applicable tracking choice, it may receive page and conversion activity, browser/network information and advertising identifiers. Where consent is required, optional tracking waits for your choice. Necessary service records remain available regardless of that choice. Use the site's available consent controls and browser settings to manage tracking. Browser settings can also restrict cookies; blocking necessary storage may affect sign-in and saved access.

6. Retention and deletion

Application cleanup is configured to delete original uploaded photos after 7 days for unpaid projects or 30 days for paid projects, and unpaid comic drafts and associated preview media after 14 days. Paid generated comics and account records are retained to provide your saved library unless deleted or otherwise required to be removed.

These schedules describe application-managed originals and drafts, not an immediate deletion guarantee for provider systems, temporary processing copies or backups. Purchase, security and dispute records may need longer retention. Technical generation-usage records have a configured retention period of up to 400 days. Legal holds and mandatory recordkeeping may require exceptions.

You may request account or content deletion through support and use any deletion controls provided in your account. Account deletion does not automatically cancel web, Apple or Google subscriptions. Cancel those separately with the relevant billing provider.

7. Your rights, children and contact

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent or complain to a data-protection authority. Contact info@meezyo.com; we may need proportionate verification before acting on a request.

The web service is intended for adult users, rather than children creating accounts independently. An adult may submit a child's image only with appropriate authority and consent. Contact us if information was submitted without the required permission.

We use access controls and other measures intended to protect information, but no service can guarantee complete security. Updates to this policy will identify their effective date and receive any notice required by law.
