Christmas gift
A personalized comic for Christmas, with them in the lead
Upload one photo of the person (or the pet) on your list, type their name and write a short Christmas story, and Comicpix draws a comic starring them in the style you choose. It’s digital, so there’s no shipping cutoff; the cover is drawn in about a minute and the preview is free.

Can I give a personalized comic book for Christmas?
Yes. A Comicpix comic stars the person you’re giving it to: drawn from one photo of them, called by their name, living a story you write. You see the cover first, free; a monthly plan unlocks the full comic, which is drawn page by page after you unlock it. You can read it online or download the PDF.
Because it’s a digital comic, there’s no last shipping day to miss and nothing to wrap, print or post. That also means there’s no box under the tree: you give it by sending the PDF or opening the comic together on a screen.
There’s no Christmas example yet
To be clear about what you’ll find here: none of the example comics on this site is a Christmas story yet. There’s no ready Christmas story to start from either, so a Christmas comic is one you write: a few sentences in the Story step, with the snow, the tree or the family dinner in them, and the comic is written around them. The examples below show how a gift comic looks once it’s drawn.
Comics that make good gifts
Real Comicpix comics, none of them Christmas stories: a couple, a dad, a kid, a dog and a book lover. Your Christmas comic is drawn the same way from your own story.
Christmas story ideas for everyone on your list
Write two or three sentences around one of these, with real names and one real detail from your family’s Christmas.
For Dad or Grandpa
The outdoor lights won’t switch on, the guests arrive at six and the ladder has seen better days. He fixes it with a fuse, a flashlight and some very festive language. Our personalized comic book for dad page has more stories built around the family fixer.
For Mom or Grandma
The family recipe has gone missing on Christmas Eve, and she follows the clues through the whole house, a noir case with a gingerbread ending. Or the year she hosted twenty people in a kitchen built for four, told as an action movie.
For your partner
Snowed in at a cabin with one working heater and one deck of cards. Or your first Christmas together, retold with the burnt dinner and the present that arrived three weeks late.
For a child
A parent can make a comic of their child: the night the presents go missing and your kid follows the wrapping-paper trail across the rooftops to bring them home. The personalized comic book for kids page explains how a child’s photo is handled.
For the pet
Your dog guards the presents from a suspicious raccoon, or your cat finally conquers the tree. Pets can be the hero; one photo of your dog or cat is enough.
For a friend or a Secret Santa
The office party, the ugly-sweater contest, the karaoke song nobody let them forget. The personalized comic book for a friend page shows how to put both of you in it.
How to make a Christmas comic
Choose a style
Cartoon or comic for a family comedy, romance or anime for a couple, fantasy for a snowy adventure. One style for the whole comic.
Add their photo and name
One photo of the person or pet, facing the camera. Add a second character if you like, or use a ready-made character.
Write the Christmas story
A few sentences with the setting, what goes wrong and how they save Christmas. That’s all the script Comicpix needs.
See the cover, unlock, give it
The cover preview is free. A monthly plan unlocks the full comic; send the PDF or read it together on Christmas Day.
Giving a digital gift on Christmas morning
Make the comic a few days before, so you’ve read every page yourself. On the day, open it on the TV or a tablet and read it together, or send the PDF to someone who’s spending Christmas in another city.
If the comic is for two people, a couple or your parents, the anniversary comic page shows how to tell their story year by year, and a Christmas scene can be the last stop.
What it costs
Your cover preview is free. Web plans, billed monthly in US dollars: Starter $6.99 (2,000 coins), Plus $19.99 (6,000 coins) and Pro $54.99 (20,000 coins). Cancel anytime online.

Questions about a Christmas comic
Is there a ready Christmas story?
Not yet. You write the Christmas story yourself as a few sentences in the Story step, and the comic is written around it. The examples on this site show gift comics from other stories.
Will it arrive before Christmas?
Nothing is shipped: the comic is digital. The cover takes about a minute; after you unlock, the pages are drawn one by one and you can read each as it arrives, online or as a PDF.
How do I put a digital comic under the tree?
You don’t: give it by sending the PDF or by opening it together on a screen. Your comics stay in your library, so you can keep it a surprise until the day.
Can the whole family be in it?
Two characters can be drawn from photos: your hero and an optional second character, each from one photo of a person or pet, or a ready-made character. Others can be named in the story, but they won’t be drawn from their photos.
Is it printed?
No. Comicpix doesn’t print or ship anything; you read the comic online or download it as a PDF.
Is it free?
The cover preview is free; the full comic needs a monthly plan, and you can cancel online.
