Anniversary gift
An anniversary comic that retells your years together
An anniversary comic retells your relationship as a story: add one photo of each of you, your names and one or two sentences per year or chapter, and Comicpix draws it as a comic in the style you choose. See the cover free in about a minute; read it online or as a PDF.

What goes into an anniversary comic?
Your story, in order. An anniversary comic works like a timeline: a handful of scenes from the day you met to this year, each one a real memory, drawn with the two of you as the leads. A comic can star two characters, so one photo of each of you is all it needs.
You write the timeline as a few sentences in the Story step, one or two per scene, and the comic is written around them. The page count is set for you, so a few sharp scenes read better than a complete diary: pick the moments you both still bring up.
The cover is drawn first and the preview is free. A monthly plan unlocks the full comic; the pages are drawn one by one after you unlock it, and you can read each as it arrives or download the PDF. It’s digital, so nothing is printed or shipped.
Build the timeline: one scene per stop
Before
One line about each of you before you met: the city, the job, the bad haircut. It makes the meeting land harder.
The day it started
Where you met and the first thing one of you said. Keep the detail you still tease each other about.
Year one
The first trip, the first apartment, the first real argument and how it ended.
The turning point
The move, the proposal, the wedding, the baby, the dog: the moment it became “us”.
The ordinary years
Sunday routines, inside jokes, the car that never starts. Small moments make the best panels.
This year, and the next
Where you are now, and one thing you’ve promised to do together. End on it.
Anniversary comic ideas by year
How you build the timeline depends on how many years you’re covering. These are starting points, not rules.
First anniversary
One year is short enough to tell season by season: the first date, the first holiday, the first time you met the family, today. The traditional first-anniversary gift is paper; this one is a comic you read on screen or as a PDF.
Fifth anniversary
Five years fit one scene per year. Give each year a title, like “The year of the tiny flat” or “The year we got the dog”, and write one sentence for each.
Tenth anniversary
Ten years is too many for one scene each. Pick the turning points instead: where you met, the move, the wedding or the day you decided to stay, the hard year you got through, and now.
Twenty-fifth anniversary and beyond
For a silver or golden anniversary, often made by grown-up children for their parents, tell it in chapters: the early years, the house, the kids, the years after the kids moved out. A parents’ anniversary comic is a good family gift; the personalized comic book for mom page has more ideas for telling a parent’s story.
“Our Haunted Date”: one date, told well
A comic-style story from the Comicpix app: Alex and Riley want one Halloween photo in a haunted mansion, and a shy little ghost keeps turning up in every selfie. Not every anniversary needs a timeline; sometimes one date says it all.

Couples comics to start from
Real Comicpix comics with two leads. Open one, add your two photos and your names, and change the story to yours before the cover is drawn.
Timeline or one story?
A timeline is the right choice when the gift is about how far you’ve come. If you’d rather tell how it began, the personalized comic book for couples page walks through a “how we met” comic beat by beat, based on the ready story “How We Met”.
If the anniversary falls in February, the same comic doubles as a Valentine’s Day comic. If it’s close to a birthday, see the birthday comic book page for party-shaped plots.

Questions about anniversary comics
How do I fit years of our relationship into one comic?
Choose a handful of scenes, one or two sentences each, in order. The page count is set for you, so pick turning points rather than every memory.
Can we both be in it?
Yes. A comic can star two characters: your hero and an optional second character, each from one photo of a person or pet, or a ready-made character. Use a separate photo of each of you.
Can I make it for my parents’ anniversary?
Yes. Add one photo of each parent and tell their story in chapters. You need the right to share both photos; they’re private and deleted after 7 days, or after 30 days if you unlock the comic.
Can the early scenes show us as we were years ago?
Each of you is drawn from one photo, in the style you choose; there’s no separate photo for each year. The story can say a scene happens years earlier. Every style is an illustration, and the cover preview is free, so check it before you decide.
Which style suits an anniversary?
The couples examples on this site are drawn in romance, anime, manhwa and comic, and any style works. One style is used for the whole comic.
Is it free?
The cover preview is free; the full comic needs a monthly plan, and you can cancel online.
