A gust of wind tears Jace’s sheet music out of his hands, and the pages whirl straight into a bookstore, where Sofia watches her books fly.
On their knees among the papers, Jace apologizes for his grand entrance. Sofia’s verdict: he owes her a coffee, music man.
That evening Jace plays his guitar under a streetlight — “This one’s for the whirlwind” — and tells her the day was unexpectedly amazing because of her.
“Unexpectedly perfect,” Sofia answers, and their hands meet.
