Halloween has barely begun and every bowl on the street is empty. Alex spots a trail of candy wrappers and chases a small shadow over the rooftops.
Behind a chimney Alex finds the missing stash — and a nervous little goblin who took it so that someone would finally come looking.
“Nobody ever knocks on my door.” Alex sees the neighbours searching the street below and offers a deal: give the candy back together, then meet them.
The goblin walks down beside Alex, hands the candy back and saves a piece for one girl. That Halloween, the best treat is a place in the circle.
